Get started in three steps

1

Install the app

Download the APK file and install it on your phone.

2

Create an account

Confirm your phone number through the Telegram bot.

3

Scan the QR code

Join your mahalla using the QR code provided by the chairman.

Choose your mahalla

No need to type the code — tap your mahalla, a QR code appears, and you scan it with the app.

If installation gives you trouble

The app is not on the Play Store yet, so Android will ask for confirmation a few times. These 5 steps are for first-time installs.

1

Download the file

Tap the dark button above. Your browser may warn you before downloading — that is normal, because the app comes directly from this site rather than the Play Store.

If a warning appears: Download anyway — tap it
2

Open the downloaded file

When the download finishes, tap the notification, or open Downloads on your phone and tap mening-mahallam.apk there.

3

Grant permission

The first time, Android asks for permission to install from this source. Turn the switch on in the settings screen that opens, then go back.

Allow from this source (Allow from this source)
4

Confirm the installation

The install dialog appears next. If Play Protect shows an extra warning, continue — the app is safe.

Install → if asked, Install anyway (Install anyway)
5

Open the app

When installation finishes tap Open, or find Mening Mahallam in your app list.

Button names differ slightly between phone brands (Samsung, Xiaomi, Redmi and others word them a little differently), but the sequence is the same. If it still does not work, contact us via Telegram or by phone below and we will help.

Frequently asked questions

Is the app free?

Yes, completely free. Neither downloading nor using it costs anything.

Can others see my phone number?

Not unless you allow it. In settings you can turn off both showing your phone number to neighbours and displaying your last-seen time.

Why is it not on the Play Store?

Publishing to the Play Store takes a few days. Until then you download the app directly from this site. We will announce it once it is on the Play Store.

Is there an iPhone version?

Not yet — the first release is for Android. An iOS version is planned.

My mahalla is not listed. What should I do?

Talk to your mahalla chairman and message the admin on Telegram (@Ilyos_Ruzibekov) — we will add your mahalla to the app.

How does signing up work?

You enter your phone number and confirm it through the Telegram bot — no waiting for an SMS. Then you scan your mahalla's QR code.

Who can see my request?

A private request is visible only to you and the mahalla staff. A public request is visible to everyone in the mahalla, and they can join it.

How much space does the app take?

The download is 51 MB. After installation it takes up roughly the same amount of space.
